In order to support Wing Moveables Analysis team, Airbus is looking for a
Single Aisle Stress Responsible(d/f/m).
We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Wing Moveables Analysis team at Airbus Operations GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural analysis and validation of aircraft wing moveable surfaces, ensuring their integrity, performance, and compliance with airworthiness regulations. You will contribute to the design, development, and certification of innovative aerospace solutions.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Perform detailed structural analysis of aircraft moveable surfaces (e.g., flaps, ailerons, spoilers, slats) made of composite and metallic materials using analytical methods and finite element analysis (FEA) software.
- Develop and validate structural models to predict stress, strain, deformation, and fatigue life under various loading conditions, including static, dynamic, and thermal loads.
- Interpret analysis results, identify potential structural issues, and propose design improvements or corrective actions to enhance performance and safety.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, stress specialists, and other engineering disciplines to integrate analysis findings into the overall aircraft design process.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate analysis results, design recommendations, and certification evidence
- Support the certification process by providing structural analysis justification and interacting with airworthiness authorities.
- Participate in the development and improvement of analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Contribute to root cause analysis of structural issues and support in-service problem resolution.
Desired skills and qualifications
- University degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Structural Engineering or a related field with a strong focus on structural mechanics.
- Proven experience in structural analysis, particularly with aircraft structures.
- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software NASTRAN. Experience in ABAQUS is beneficial
- Proficiency in Altair tools such as Hypermesh, Hyperview, Simsolid etc.
- Knowledge of Airbus tools such as ISAMI, Airina, Normaster, Airnav etc.
- Comfortable with Airbus design tools such as Catia V5. Basic knowledge of Dassault 3DX is beneficial.
- Solid understanding of aerospace materials, structural mechanics, fatigue, and fracture mechanics principles.
- Familiarity with airworthiness regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA) and certification processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English. German language skills are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team environment.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python) for automation of analysis tasks is beneficial.
