Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Simulator Test Pilot (m/f) to join our Flight & Integration Test Centre based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team leading test campaigns on integration simulator. As part of the Multi-System & Operational Testing group in the Tests & Analytics department, you will get close to the product, interface with numerous stakeholders in a transnational environment, while acquiring a global view of the aircraft operations, acting as 1st customer.

As a simulator test pilot, you will bring your expertise to carry out simulator tests in an operational manner. You will also help assess with test engineers the global A/C behavior and give operational feedback during simulator tests (multi-system test, Airline like campaigns, preparation sessions before flight test pilots assessment, etc).

You will work in strong cooperation with System Test Engineers, Design Offices, Flight Test Engineers and Flight Test pilots, as well as Flight Operations & Training community in Customer Services to close the loop with in-service operations.

Your challenges:

  • Ensure tests are performed while the simulator is flown as an Airline pilot would do.
  • Promote ‘Airline like’ approach on simulator exposing Airbus Standard Operating Procedures as much as possible on simulator.
  • Ensure operational documentation is up to date, used and exposed on simulator
  • Contribute to aircraft maturity giving feedback on operational point of view during tests
  • Contribute to new systems or function design attending ground test campaigns.

You will have as well the mission to increase Airlines operations awareness through Engineering, through dedicated participation to various forums.

Your boarding pass:

  • Pilot license with CPL, IRME, MCC qualifications
  • An aircraft Type Qualification (Type Rating), preferably (but not restricted to) Airbus
  • Previous experience in airlines operations
  • A good knowledge/understanding of airlines operations
  • A Diploma in Aeronautics or IT
  • A systems knowledge and testing mindset
  • Good communication skills with ability to connect people across functions and result-oriented
  • Continuous challenging and lean approach
  • Opened-mind, autonomous, technically curious and hands-on, with good synthesis skills
  • An advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French are mandatory.

This position requires being eligible to security, Export Control and Military clearances by the recognized authorities.
