Senior Mission Simulation Engineer (Military Derivatives)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mission Simulation Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space. This role involves the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex mission simulators, contributing to the validation and verification of advanced aerospace systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and implement mission simulation models for complex aerospace systems, including aircraft and spacecraft.
• Lead the integration of subsystems within simulation environments, ensuring interoperability and performance.
• Conduct comprehensive simulator testing to ensure accuracy, fidelity, and compliance with operational requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, optimizing simulation performance and stability.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including systems, software, and hardware engineers.
• Participate in defining simulation architectures and selecting appropriate technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation development processes and methodologies.
• Provide technical support and training to simulator users.
• Document simulation design, implementation, and results.

SKILLS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing and testing mission simulators or real-time systems within the aerospace or defense industry.
• Strong experience with programming languages such as C++.
• In-depth knowledge of simulation architectures, physical modeling, and system integration techniques.
