Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Sr Material Specialist to join our Logistics team based in Grand Prairie, TX.
Duties include coordinating logistical support for the Grand Prairie facility, to facilitate movements for material coming in for repair/overhaul to the various MRO shops. Tasks to coordinate include receiving, verifying and inducting items in the MRO shops in a timely manner to support MRO-TAT, record keeping, movement of materials as well as providing customer support to both internal and external customers. This position will report to the Supervisor, Repairables Logistics

Your challenges:
Daily Activity: 50%
- Receive and verify all inbound material and components to be inducted to shops.
- Trouble shoot issues and coordinate with both internal and external customers as needed.
- Ensure component log and log for parts sent to DFW for repairables is maintained.
- Coordinate with blade shop for weekly consolidation of export shipment
- Coordinate and help in the physical movement of materials, blades and components as required
- Ensure proper packaging and preparation of shipments departing the Grand Prairie location.
Training and Support: 25%
- Administer safety training as required
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety requirements
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities
- Conduct remedial training
- Balance and direct workflow for areas of responsibility daily
Coordination and Balancing of Workload: 25%
- Monitor workload and task distribution among Grand Prairie staff.
- Assign tasks and workload as needed to ensure daily requirements are met.
- Monitor work complete and notify customers of concerns as they arise.
- Recommend staff members to management for recognition or corrective action.

Physical Requirements:

- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Continually
- Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Continually
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Continually
- Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts, and warehouse material handling equipment. Daily
- Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
