SE/MBSE Capability Leader

Job Description:

The various activities to be performed are:
• Act as a key contributor to the design, maintenance, and deployment of the Airbus MBSE Framework across various domains (e.g., Product, Industrial, Services).
• Model Development and Governance: Develop, manage, and govern complex system architecture models using industry-leading tools, ensuring consistency and adherence to established Airbus standards.
• Modeling Standards Enforcement: Establish, document, and enforce rigorous modeling standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure model quality and interoperability.
• Tool Integration: Manage and maintain traceability and integration between core tools, ensuring seamless data flow throughout the SE lifecycle.
• Work out with the different Centre of Competency (CoCs) to understand their needs and set up a way forward for capability development.
• Adopt Modelling & Simulation techniques suiting the needs of the enterprise
• Develops, communicates, supports and monitors compliance with architecture standards

• Become an active collaborator on an established, geographically distributed team of architects working on SE/MBSE architecture.
• SE/MBSE Acceleration: Collaborate closely with SE/MBSE Tutors, Champions, and practitioners to facilitate and accelerate the effective deployment of MBSE initiatives across the organization.
• Training Development: Design, prepare, and deliver comprehensive training modules and materials on SE and MBSE concepts, tools, and best practices to upskill technical teams.
• Agile Integration: Integrate MBSE activities and work products into the existing Agile development framework.

Technical Expertise & Skills
• System Representation: Implement and apply modeling methodologies (SysML/UML, UAF, DODAF, etc.) to formally represent system requirements, functional behavior, logical structure, and parametric analyses.
• Demonstrate high proficiency with major MBSE modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and/or IBM Rational Rhapsody, Rhapsody, Sparx EA, Capella or similar and requirements management tools like DOORS.
• Domain Knowledge: Basic knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Systems (avionics, flight controls, structures, etc.) is highly preferred.
• Methodology: Expert knowledge of SysML/UML (Unified Modeling Language) and familiarity with architectural frameworks like UAF (Unified Architecture Framework), DoDAF or similar.
• Proven experience working within an Agile development framework.

Soft Skills
• Assertive communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently & in a transnational team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills required to resolve technical open points.

Education & Experience
B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E. in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 8-10 years of experience.
