Tasks and responsibilities

  • Participate in the implementation of crisis management strategy, business continuity and definition of governance for small to medium consulting projects
  • Support in the organization of crisis management, crisis plan and associated documentation and delivery of crisis and business continuity exercises (Reality Check, Serious Game, Simulation) for consulting projects
  • Support the evaluation and audit of crisis management and business continuity
  • Participate in consulting projects
  • Apply consulting methods while documenting and presenting results internally and externally
  • Support in training and coaching in crisis management and business continuity
  • Participate in improvement of existing processes and toolings
  • Occasional advice to customers for possible further support (cross-/up-selling) and other ancillary tasks
  • Creation of required documentation and presentation of work results


Required qualifications and professional experience

The work task requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of engineering, computer science, cybersecurity or comparable degree programmes. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.

Required expertise

  • Basic knowledge and experience in the above listed tasks
  • Basic understanding of resilience frameworks (ISO 22301, ISO 31000, ISO 27031, NIST SP 800-34),
  • First experience in Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessment methodologies
  • First experience in developing Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Crisis Management Plans
  • Basic understanding of Emergency Response and Crisis Communication procedures and with resilience management tools and crisis platforms
  • Basic knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles and coordination with IT teams
  • Understanding of incident classification and escalation procedures
  • Cultural sensitivity for working with international teams
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Willingness for business trips at home and abroad


A security clearance is required for this activity or must be issued by the responsible authorities.
