You will be involved in the development of futuristic and cutting-edge space programs (Vega and Space Rider).

The position is based in Frascati, Italy (near Rome).

The role …

  • Perform RAMS/Safety of Operation verifications of existing solutions: verification of each proposed technical solution against the objectives provided in the SdF reference documents (in accordance with ECSS standards and MIL-HDBK-217F, FIDES, NPRD databases, etc.)

  • In connection with the results of the RAMS analyses, provide technical support to the project to define and propose solutions and/or recommendations in order to achieve the objectives, monitor the associated actions

  • Write risk analyses and Safety of Operation/RAMS studies,

  • Participate/Organize presentation and progress meetings and project reviews, etc.

  • Verify the safeguard requirements of the program and the CSG during the design and operation phases of the VEGA launch systems and the Space Rider program:

  • Verification of compliance with ESA (European Space Agency) safeguard requirements

  • Verification of compliance with LOS (Space Operations Act) safeguard requirements;

  • Participate in the management of the submission process:

Preparation and management of safeguard activities related to the submission process from ESA to CNES (French Space Agency), for the authorization to operate the vehicles

Participate in maintaining the SdF reference document:

Documentary writing to specify the SdF objectives and requirements

  • Update existing documents (monitoring of actions in progress, events calling into question study hypotheses, etc.)

Areas concerned :

  • FMDS studies on the Vega launch systems and the Space Rider program, involving the launcher and ground installations (integration, telemetry, landing, etc.)

  • Risk analysis during the design, combined testing and launch campaign phases

Are you THE one ?

  • You are a graduate of a general or specialized University or Engineering School (BAC+5 level)

  • Experience in Space and in the field of operational safety (RAMS) is imperative

  • Knowledge of electronics would be a plus
