Quality Conformance Manager- Maintenance and retrofit solutions(MaRS)

Job Description:

Maintenance and Retrofit Solutions (MaRS) team in Bangalore supports the SIM team in Europe in the following areas:-

- Airframe, Cabin and Connectivity upgrades (retrofit solutions)

- Maintenance solutions(SB authoring, Maintenance Program Optimization..) to customers.

- The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) tools design

The Quality Conformance Manager-MaRS will be responsible to deploy an effective Quality Management System to ensure that the team adheres to the Airbus processes thus adopting a standardized approach at work while delivering right first time. She/he shall also contribute to process improvement continuous improvement in their activities.

You will lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting the measurement standards and identifying/facilitating improvements to increase:

- Process performance and product adherence to standards

- Reliability of processes

- Repeatability of processes, at initial design phase, before any process changes are made and continuously through the life of a product.

The key responsibilities for the role include:-

• A s a Business Quality Manager, deploy an effective Quality Management System for MaRS and GSE design team by performing the following:
  
  • Support local team to ensure compliance to the process
    
  • Liaise with Process Management Team : provide inputs regarding needs of process updates and cascade changes by performing awareness sessions. For example on the GIM, Design Guidelines for sustainability and branding.
    
  • Be the local reference for process documentation updates and e nsure appropriate communication with the Central team in terms of best practice sharing etc...
    
  • Contribute to the surveillance plan definition, deployment & flow up on action plan , Root cause analysis, timely closure of findings.
    
  • Facilitate and drive continuous improvement through Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Practical Problem Solving(PPS), Light Solving techniques, Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) methods etc..
    
  • Participation in PMT review, R&O doc review, ops reviews as required
    
  • Quality Check and process adherence including spot checks
    
  • Manage Quality Metrics of the Business unit including Cost to Quality , Defects per unit , business Performance monitoring (PPI, KPI..)
    
  • Contribute to defect report analysis and improvement plan(s).
    
  • Contribute to Business Projects as required on the Quality management scope
    

Knowledge and required to perform the role includes:-

• Knowledge on ISO 9000, AS9100 & Quality Management System
  
• Manage Quality Metrics of the Business unit including Cost to Quality , Defects per unit Experience and knowledge in Lean Management, Six Sigma, Kaizen
  
• Experience and knowledge in problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, and quality tools
  
• Motivate individuals in the team to perform their best and complement each other in responsibilities
  
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker
