We are now looking for a Purchasing Team Leader to join our Procurement Team in Lisbon.

Responsibilities - your mission:

Position Summary: The Purchasing Team Leader not only manages disciplinary and functionally a team of purchasing assistants & specialists but also acts as a focal point/expert to Indirect Procurement Commodities and other functions within and outside the central procurement organisation to ensure on-time and on-quality delivery in regards to procurement operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Forecasting activities
  • Workload allocation and tracking
  • Ensure on-time and on-quality orders
  • Follow up of escalations
  • Communication with internal stakeholders (e.g. buyers, internal customers)
  • Oversee Reporting activities (& associated data analysis)
  • Use of Airbus ERP System (SAP)
  • Use of other specific tools (Coupa)
  • People management and people development
  • Build the team of purchasing assistants & specialists


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contribution to improvement projects
  • Attendance to stakeholder meetings (buyers, tools & process department etc. )
  • Attendance to escalation meetings (open orders)


Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:

  • Past experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement
  • 2-3 years of experience in leading teams (desirable)
  • Communication and change management skills
  • Be customer focused, understand priorities = knows how to prioritize in case of emergencies
  • Eager to learn to work with new tools / be open to change and to continuous improvement
  • Fluency in English (in a negotiation level)
  • French, Spanish or German would be a plus
  • Enjoy a dynamic and multicultural environment with a lot of different tools and flows of material
  • Shows a lot of rigor and concentration at work
  • Digital Acumen
