Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a System Integrator Engineer for Research projects (f/m) to join our Propulsion Control Integration department based in Toulouse, France.

The Propulsion Control System (PCS) is a complex and critical system for the aircraft. It is composed of several avionics computers (such as FADEC) in charge of controlling and monitoring engines, Thrust reverser and interfaces with several other aircraft system.

Our team is responsible for integrating the Propulsion Control System to the aircraft. Our mission is to develop the functions that will ensure a safe and efficient integration between the aircraft systems, the pilot and the propulsion systems, according to the needs of each of them. We actively contribute to the support of our in-service aircraft to the incremental development of our product family and to the preparation of new technologies introduction

As System Integrator Engineer for Research project, you will be part of Airbus decarbonisation strategy by contributing to the preparation of next generation aircraft. More specifically, you will mature the integration of the different engine options from engine manufacturers.

Your challenges :

  • Participating in the definition of PCS architecture and PCS-Aircraft interfaces,
  • Participating in the design of the engine controller interfaces and functions in collaboration with the Engine Manufacturer, and in particular modelling these functions in order to validate the requirements.
  • Co-designing evolutions of other Aircraft systems interfaced with PCS,
  • Ensuring full Validation & Verification cycle in validating the requirements and specifying the PCS system verification (for test benches and flight tests) and analyzing the test outcomes,
  • You will interact with a large community of international stakeholders, inside Airbus (Chief Engineers, experts, flight test, production, customer support,...) and also with external industrial partners such as Engine manufacturers.

Your boarding pass :

  • Early career profile educated to a 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline,
  • Good communication and teamwork mindset

Would be a plus :

  • Internship or project in System Development and/or software development and/or Embedded computer development,
  • Technical knowledge of Aeronautical Propulsion
  • experience in simulation
  • Language skills : Negotiation level in English. French is a plus
