About us:
In this internship you will be working within the Project Management (AIT & Production) team on a range of Space products including; structures and panels, propulsion modules and complex mechanisms, these lower level sub assemblies will be form part of the Stevenage Mechanical Platform which will be integrated into Telecommunication spacecrafts. There may also be opportunities to work on some of the Earth Observation, Navigation and Science missions going through the manufacturing facility. Currently the team are working on the ramp up and complex industrialisation aspects of the new product “OneSat”. You will become an integrated member of the Spacecraft Production team focusing on the Stevenage Mechanical Platform, working within the Manufacturing Assembly Integration and Test (MAIT) Stevenage organisation for Airbus Defence and Space. As a Project Manager (AIT & Production) you will support the team to deliver the project or product on Quality, on Time, on Cost. The team is ultimately responsible for delivering completed spacecraft modules to a range of internal customers and stakeholders.
