Job Description:

The Production Activity Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of production activity control across manufacturing operations. This role coordinates the team of Production Activity Controllers, ensuring seamless alignment between the Production Schedule, shop floor operations, inventory/materials management and Supply Chain

The ideal candidate will combine strong operational expertise with leadership drive, serving as the critical bridge between Production, Planning,

Primary Responsibilities:

1.Team Leadership & Daily Operations

Drive Daily Routines: Support daily production monitoring meetings, reviewing progress reports, parts availability, and real-time shop floor status across a one-week operational horizon.

  • Prioritization & Escalation: Define daily priority adjustments and act as the primary point of escalation for critical resource shortages (manpower, machinery, tools, and materials).
  • Team Guidance: Mentor and support the PAC team in managing work orders (WOs) from release through completion and closure.

2. Schedule & Work Order Management

  • Schedule Execution: Ensure daily production schedules strictly support the Production Pace Control (PPC) and weekly MPS decisions (Assembly, In-House Parts, Extended Workbench).
  • Work Order Lifecycle: Oversee WO closure accuracy, components consumption tracking, and system-to-reality synchronization in the IT system.
  • Capacity & Backlog Optimization: Balance daily workload with available manpower and equipment capabilities to manage outstanding work and prevent backlogs.

3. Material & Component Availability

  • Parts Flow Oversight: Direct the tracking of component availability at the point of use (POU), ensuring pull flow stability and preventing stock-outs.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee unexpected missing parts, transfer protocols, and logistics distribution to ensure line availability.

4. Parasitic Flow & Exception Management

  • Issue Mitigation: Oversee cross-departmental coordination to identify, control, and eliminate parasitic flows (e.g., non-conformities, over-delivery, good issue errors, loss of parts, and part cannibalization/rob-on).
  • Cross-Functional Handoffs: Coordinate internal and external transfers of responsibility for outstanding work orders and materials 3. Execution, System Integrity & KPI Tracking

  • Coordination & Collaboration: Strong team spirit with a proven ability to build robust cross-functional relationships across Production, Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain.
  • Agility & Rigor: High level of rigor, anticipation, and reactivity to handle fast-paced production changes and complex shop-floor issues.
  • Problem-Solving & Escalation: Solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualified Experience and Training:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics and 4-5 years of experience.
  • Master degree and APICS CPIM (Level 1) certification is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Material Management, preferred in Production Control
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with MRP II principles (especially S&OP, MPS, MRP, and Execution) and a good understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain concepts within a production environment and lean management
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional and multi-site networks, with strong communication skills
