What do we do?

Airbus intends to revolutionize the Aerospace world by leveraging cutting edge digital technology in bringing data from Aircrafts, Engines, MROs, etc. on a single platform called Skywise. The Skywise is capable of processing huge amounts of data with the state of the art algorithms in providing vital insights into Aircraft Systems health, alert Airlines in any impending Maintenance work thus reducing the Aircraft on-ground times. The Skywise also provides solutions to the MROs in optimizing the highly complex and expensive maintenance operations thereby producing savings in the overall maintenance costs. The Skywise Agile Release Train ‘Maintenance Operations Optimization (MOO)’ is tasked with developing products that would essentially process data linked with Maintenance Operations on an Aircraft as part of MRO processes. These products essentially provide an Airline, an optimized maintenance schedule for its fleet. It would let MROs organize their maintenance operations to reduce turnaround time, optimize the inventory, etc.

As a Product Owner, You will onboard the MOO ART and Contribute to the Agile Release Train's Vision.

Main Activities are

  • Contributes to the Digital Product Strategy and Roadmap in collaboration with Business, Portfolio, Marketing, Engineering and other Stakeholders
  • Represent the voice of the business/customer to identify expectations and needs
  • Delivers in all phases for product development - Explore, Define, Industrialize, Maintain
  • Define and develop the objectives hierarchy of the project or product using appropriate strategies, methods and tools.
  • Engage stakeholders in a governance that ensures effective use of time, budget and achievement of quality.
  • Contributes in preparing the Release Plan / Program Increment (PI) Plan / Defines Iteration Objectives
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation
  • Coordinates and synchronizes with other Product Owners, part of the same Agile Release Train
  • Defines the Defines Definition of Done & Definition of Ready
  • Ensure the quality of user stories by validating the user stories

Domain Background

  • Experienced in Aircraft Maintenance Operations & Supply Chain
  • Understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Scheduling & Planning

Skills required

  • Certified Product Owner - Scaled Agile Framework
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe / Scrum / Kanban)
  • Project & Product Management
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Creative Thinker and Curious
  • Strategic Mindset
  • Manage Conflicts and Negotiation to achieve optimized results for the business.
  • Ensure active risk and opportunity management
  • Sound Understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC)
  • Basic Exposure to Software Development Competencies
  • Basic Exposure to Digital Technologies such as - Data Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, IOT & Big Data etc.
  • Education qualification - BE / B. Tech / M. Tech. / MBA
  • Experience: 8+ Years
