MAIT Space Systems delivers leading space technology and solutions for commercial and government customers around the globe. The Programme Line’s expertise includes launchers, telecommunications satellites for any mission, very-high-resolution Earth observation instruments, unique deep space missions, flawless International Space Station operations and lunar exploration. From the smallest electronic parts and spacecraft equipment to in-orbit delivery of satellites and associated services, reaching for the stars is the daily business of Space Systems.
We are looking for an Performance & Business improver who will work in close relation with AIT management, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering and Production to ensure an industrial process.
You will belong to a dynamic team in a department which is responsible of the Industrial Planning, Performance & Control in Getafe space MAIT plant. You will work with a team across multiple disciplines to deliver on Quality, on Time and on Cost
The jobholder will perform the following activities
Process Analysis & Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing MAIT processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using lean methodologies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen).
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to MAIT operations, developing regular reports and dashboards to monitor progress and communicate results to stakeholders.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Facilitate problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., PPS, PDCAs...) to identify root causes of performance deviations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Implementation of Improvements: Design, develop, and implement new processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize MAIT operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices, exchanging with other Airbus plants.
Change Management & Training: Drive change management activities related to process improvements, including developing training plans and materials and delivering training to MAIT teams to ensure successful adoption of new methods.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain, to gather requirements, share best practices, and gain buy-in for improvement initiatives.
Best Practice Sharing: Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices within MAIT and across Airbus Defence and Space, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Project Management: Manage and facilitate improvement projects from conception to completion, including defining scope, setting timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress.
- Requirements
- Industrial Engineer or Aerospace Engineer Degree or similar.
- Experience in project management, manufacturing and production control.
- Pro-activity and autonomy. Team working ability
- Leadership skills to manage different stakeholders
- Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Able to work in an integrated manufacturing Team, autonomously in a proactive and responsible manner.
- Able to work in one or more projects managing the workload and prioritization of activities in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Able to work in an organized and ordered manner complying with the Company, Quality and H&S standards.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
