You will work in a multidisciplinary team with the mission of creating innovative solutions to satisfy our customers, in an environment of trust.
In an innovative digital environment at the cutting edge of technology, you will join a dynamic department in charge of leading engineering activities involved in the Product lifecycle.

Your mission will consist of leading end to end engineering activities for an Additional Mission System design development, integration, certification and qualification in terms of Time-Cost-Quality-Performance.
Within Spain Chief Engineering Office organization and as part of Airbus Helicopters Engineering Spain you will be responsible as Technical/Project Manager to lead the design, development, qualification and certification activities within the assigned perimeter, with all the involved stakeholders (in and outside of engineering, internal and external) focused on Customer satisfaction and following the applicable internal and external rules and regulations.

Your challenges:
You will be responsible for the following main activities (within the assigned perimeter->End to End Technical Manager

- Chief Engineering for Additional Mission System in NH90 Spanish Variants)
- Relevant part of the MAS Spain in conjunction of AH Engineering team, responsible for end to end contribution of assigned perimeter.
- Follow up Customer and Program technical requirements linked to AMS - Contribute to technical work breakdown structure, development schedule, and technical risk management, ensuring all the technical teams deliver on time, on quality and on cost as per assigned perimeter.
- Ensure commitment on needed deliverables, planning and costs within project constraints from the relevant engineering teams.
- Continuously monitor progress, ensure timely resolution for technical issues, and manage technical change management.
- Lead design reviews & maturity gates feeders, follow progress, support solving blocking issues, ensure proper risks & opportunities management, ensure escalation when required.
- Act as engineering focal point towards the different involved disciplines (Program, production, support, lead functions, and suppliers as applicable) for the assigned perimeter, ensure the required coordination/drumbeat of contributors in conjunction with the relevant actors and assure the alignment within stakeholders.
- Approve and monitor (in coordination with the PMO office and Financial controllers) the budget for engineering resources related to engineering tasks and verify resource availability.
- Lead product certification & qualification (for the assigned perimeter).
- Support production, integrated logistics and customer support and assure continuous safe operations.
- Contribute continuously to improve our overall engineering efficiency by ensuring effective integration of lessons learned, identification and deployment of improvement actions (as aligned with other stakeholders where relevant)
- Support and apply agile working methods
- Lead and inspire Engineering teams to achieve the team goals.

Your profile:

You have the following experiences and skills:
- Technical project management skills with at least 5-8 years of experience in similar position.
- Holder of Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of Military systems (mission systems, sensors, ...)and operational usage.
- General engineering knowledge.
- Airworthiness and Safety.
- Configuration Management principles.
- Understanding of Industry and S&S.
- Complex problem solving approach.
- You like working in a complex environment and accepting changes in priorities.
- Ability to step back and have an overview of a project.
- Soft Skills: methodology and rigor, team spirit and dynamism, transparent communication, having a positive attitude even in times of difficulty (being constructive), and knowing how to work on a plateau.
- Language skills: Spanish and advanced level in English.
