Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an MRO Business Analyst to join our Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Business Operations Team based in Grand Prairie, TX .

In this role you will provide internal and external customer support to simplify MRO business processes. Collaborate with internal/external customers to provide WIP status, delivery dates, quotes/estimates, invoices/credits technical inquiries and logistical details. Support the coordination of pricing agreements for MRO activities. Assist in planning and scheduling within Airbus Group and internal/external customers.

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

Performance Management and Data Analysis: 40%

  • Perform data analysis and generate reports using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise; build data sets based on business analytic indicators
  • Maintain/update/revise/establish new critical metrics
  • Report meaningful metrics to various management levels on weekly/monthly/annual basis
  • Build and maintain reliable MRO productivity metrics
  • Analyze profitability and MRO shop performance
  • Analyze and generate WIP & backlog reports
  • Support development and coordinate implementation of processes across all MRO departments
  • Analyze flow-in/flow-out for the various MRO activities in shops
  • Identify problems that impact our ability to deliver, ability to achieve margins, or areas of inconsistency in the business, based on understanding of metrics and correct application of metrics to the data.

Forecasting / Workload Analysis: 30%

  • Develop a reliable and financial Operating Plan for all MRO cost centers
  • Work with supporting functions to receive FH and customer forecasts
  • Develop reliable forecasting and demand planning across MRO organization
  • Set metrics to measure forecasting and planning traceability and accuracy
  • Develop workload capacity analysis for all MRO cost centers to efficiently balance the workload between the teams and/or propose capacity adjustment
  • Coordinate forecast flow from Airbus Helicopters based on workload capacity between AHI & AHCA
  • Forecast rotable pool inventory
  • Work with Repair Operations Lead to forecast external repairs
  • Work with Planning Dept. to forecast new spare parts

MRO Support: 30%

  • Work closely with Accounting Dept. to review / prepare period financial performance reports
  • Collaborate with Program Management Offices & Transformation for Dashboard reports of Top Company Objectives (TCOs)
  • Build business cases as needed and recommend/ implement cost savings actions (C3)
  • Develop / create presentations for management reviews
  • Liaise / coordinate with Airbus Helicopters on various initiatives / projects

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Report activity monthly through Office Suite or Google Workspace
  • Identify gaps within current processes, and recommend improvement activities

Your Boarding Pass:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or comparable experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience/internship in business analysis, financial analysis or business planning or 2 years’ experience of professional level work experience in an aviation company
  • 0 - 10% Domestic and International Travel involved
  • Authorized to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong operational improvement skills
  • Consistent record of working in a fast- paced, demanding environment
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Able to communicate productively in verbal and written form in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (i.e. MBA)
  • Strong accounting background, including cost accounting
  • Experience in creating business cases for strategic decision making
  • Able to communicate productively in verbal and written form in French and/or German.
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Skywise

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 90%-100%
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. 100%
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. 100%
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. 100%
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs minimally.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs minimally.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools minimally.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer on a daily basis.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor regularly.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Very minimal amount if at all.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces regularly.
