Job Description:
Master Thesis (d/f/m): Validation of Decoupled Testing of Serial ISS Payloads for FLUMIAS
You are looking for a master thesis and want to get to know the work of Airbus. Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the department Assembly, Integration and Test Friedrichshafen (TSMGF) as a Master Thesis student (d/f/m)!
- Location: Friedrichshafen
- Start: As soon as possible
- Duration: 6 months
FLUMIAS (Fluorescence Microscopic Analysis in Space) is a high-end microscope designed for live-cell research under variable gravity. A key feature of the mission is its modularity: the main facility remains on the ISS, while individual Experiment Blocks (EBs), containing biological samples, life support systems, and thermal control, are frequently exchanged. Because every EB is unique, each requires individual testing and configuration before launch. To manage this, Airbus uses dedicated standalone test stands to decouple component-level verification from the main facility schedule.
Your location
At the Airbus site in Friedrichshafen you will be working on innovation where others spend their holidays. Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Constance while having lunch in our canteen. And after work, join one of our many corporate sports groups to go running, sailing or skiing.
Your benefits
- Attractive salary and work-life balance with an 35-hour week (flexitime).
- Traveling overseas or within Germany (team events) is possible after consultation and agreement from the department.
- International environment with the opportunity to network globally.
