In order to support the Site Engineering Team for all Programs in Stade, Airbus Commercial is looking for an


MAP Specialist Composite Design (d/f/m)


The position is located in a dynamic transnational team within the site engineering domain in Stade with a strong focus on improvements

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Improvement of the design of composite components and assemblies within an engineering and production environment
  • Support and coordination of engineering-related projects with a focus on composite structures
  • Analysis of technical issues and identification of root causes in design and production processes
  • Development and implementation of solutions to improve product quality and resolve manufacturing-related challenges
  • Contribution to continuous improvement and optimization of design processes and methods
  • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams (design offices across Europe, production, manufacturing engineering, quality and suppliers)
  • Ensuring compliance with design principles, engineering standards and airworthiness requirements

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in engineering, design or project environments
  • Experience in project management or coordination within engineering projects
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to analyze complex systems and interdependencies
  • Experience in composite structures ( CFRP/GFRP)
  • Experience in design environments is a strong plus
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with digital tools such as Skywise is a plus
  • Basic programming skills are a plus
  • Fluent in English and German (both required)

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
