Job Description:

Your primary objective will be to ensure that our aircraft assembly processes are designed and executed under the highest standards of occupational health and industrial efficiency. You will be the key player in adapting the work environment (tools, jigs, flows, and pacing) to the anatomical and physiological capabilities of our operators, preventing musculoskeletal disorders while optimizing industrial performance on the assembly line.

Main Duties and Responsibilities - Ergonomics

  • Ergonomic Risk Assessment: Perform detailed analyses of workstations and assembly lines using industry-standard methodologies (EMMA) to identify risk factors (awkward postures, heavy lifting, repetitive strain).
  • Workstation Design and Redesign: Work hand-in-hand with Manufacturing Engineering and Ramp Up teams to co-design ergonomic jigs, access platforms, tooling, and assembly lines for both current programs and future developments.
  • Virtual Ergonomics Analysis: Participate in the early design phases using digital simulation tools (human modeling/virtual mannequins in 3D/CAD environments) to validate ergonomics before components reach the shop floor.
  • Data Management & Continuous Improvement: Monitor absenteeism indicators and musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) trends to propose effective corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Culture and Training: Deliver workshops and awareness training sessions on postural hygiene and participatory ergonomics to operators and team leaders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities - Safety Engineer

  • The main tasks typically include providing support to managers in the identification of work-related hazards within the workplace and assessing/categorizing the related occupational risks.
  • Support local management enabling them to ensure appropriate risk controls are in place, work-related incidents (from near miss to lost time injury) are investigated effectively and that specialist support is requested as required.
  • Good knowledge of EHS requirements in relation to industrial processes, national laws and regulations relating to the workplace.
  • Promote Environment and Health & Safety topics at the workplace throughout the organization at all levels ensuring availability of the relevant training, awareness campaigns and EHS inductions.

Both duties will be enhanced and supported acting as Plant Focal Point with central teams counterparts: Medical Services & Human Factor Organization.

Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish, given the international environment and Airbus technical documentation.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and empathy skills to effectively bridge the gap between the practical needs of shop floor operators and management’s production targets.
