A vacancy has arisen in the lines of our Manufacturing Engineering A400M MRO in Airbus Defence & Space, Getafe (Madrid)

As a Manufacturing Engineer for A400M MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) at Airbus Defence and Space SAU, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and tooling for the maintenance, repair, and modification of A400M aircraft components and systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency, quality, and airworthiness of the A400M fleet within MRO operations.

RESPONSABILITIES

* Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation for A400M MRO activities, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to airworthiness regulations.
* Design, specify, and procure specialized tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for A400M maintenance, repair, and modification tasks, ensuring their functionality and compliance.
* Provide technical support and guidance to MRO technicians and production teams on complex repair methodologies, troubleshooting, and assembly/disassembly sequences.
* Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance process reliability.
* Participate in the planning and execution of MRO projects, contributing to work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and timeline management.
* Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to integrate new designs, materials, and processes into MRO operations.
* Ensure all manufacturing processes and documentation comply with relevant aviation standards, safety regulations, and Airbus internal procedures.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) within the MRO environment to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
* Prepare and present technical reports, analyses, and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.

SKILLS

* Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in manufacturing engineering, preferably within an aerospace MRO or production environment.
* Strong understanding of aircraft structures, systems, and maintenance practices, with specific knowledge of the A400M aircraft being highly advantageous.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and PDM/PLM systems.
* Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA Part 145, Part 21).
* Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and their application in a manufacturing setting.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
* Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a significant plus.
