PRIMARY MISSION

Act as an architect/consultant for the Electrical Harness Engineering domain, ensuring the coherence of the functional and application architecture. Support projects from the scoping phase (BRD) through technical implementation (supporting Tech Leads), ensuring that solutions (whether COTS integration, in-house development, or legacy management) are high-performing, compliant, and formalized (Architecture Dossiers).

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Architecture and Design (70%)

  • Contribute as a consultant to the drafting of Business Requirement Documents (BRD), ensuring global coherence and gathering non-functional requirements (capacity, performance, user volume...).
  • Analyze the data classification of the future system (as an informed party).
  • Ensure the link with Security teams (EIIS) to translate data classification into concrete security requirements for the projects.
  • Ensure that legal and contractual requirements (e.g., Export Control / Military, GDPR) are incorporated into the proposed architectures.
  • Propose and design the technical architecture for the solution (in-house applications or COTS integration), aligning with Enterprise Architect standards.
  • Ensure the interoperability and performance of solutions for managing design deliverables (e.g., Wiring Diagrams, Bill of Materials (BOM), 2D Formboards).
  • Support Tech Leads and development teams during the solution's technical implementation, adjusting the architecture as new needs or issues arise.
  • Write and maintain formal "Architecture Dossiers" for each solution.
  • Maintain the application map and the domain's architecture views up-to-date in the modeling tool (e.g., Archi / Archimate).

Governance, Compliance, and L3 Support (30%)

  • Act as the Point of Contact for any project impacting the functional scope.
  • Conduct active monitoring of obsolescence for all software components, including legacy tools (applications on Tomcat, mainframe migrations).
  • Provide Level 3 (L3) expertise and support for analyzing complex data flows, requiring SQL skills (querying on MSSQL, ORACLE 7/10, PostgresSQL).

FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal:
    • Electrical Engineering (Harness Designers) and Manufacturing Engineering (Methods) business lines ETII, ETY, ED.
    • Business & IT Project Managers (during BRD and project phases) ETEM, EIIDPE.
    • Tech Leads and development teams (during realization phase).
    • Enterprise Architects (for technology standards and Archimate view validation).
    • IT Security (EIIS) and Legal / Compliance teams (EKS).
    • PLM Architects and Infrastructure Teams (EIIDP).
  • External:
    • Software Vendors (e.g., ETAP, Dassault...).
    • Integrators and consulting firms.

* Your profile:

Knowledge (Know-what):

  • Expertise in electrical harness design and manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise or in-depth knowledge of harness design tools, particularly the SEE Electrical Suite (V2 to V5).
  • Knowledge of enterprise development stacks (e.g., Java, .NET, API Management...) and web architectures (e.g., Tomcat).
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres).
  • Knowledge of the Archimate modeling language and an associated tool (e.g., Archi).

Skills (Know-how):

  • Ability to translate business needs (BRD) and constraints (security, data) into technical solutions.
  • Architecture formalization: writing "Architecture Dossiers" and modeling (Archimate).
  • Coaching and architectural technical support for development teams (Tech Leads).
  • Designing scalable application architectures (custom) and integrations (COTS).
  • Risk analysis (Security, Legal) and requirements definition.
  • Proven SQL querying skills for analysis and L3 support.
  • Good technical English (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory.

Soft Skills (Know-be):

  • Interpersonal, teaching, and consulting skills (active listening, advising).
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business lines (Engineering, Manufacturing) and experts (IT, Security, Legal).
