Interest group: Project Management Specialists with IT technical background

Contract type/working time: Permanent/Fulltime

Work experience:

* min 3-5 years overall working experience in IT / Engineering technical domain

* min 2-3 years experience in Project Management support area / PMO

We are looking for an IT Project Manager [Engineering Delivery Manager], to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team. The ideal candidate should have worked in some areas of project management domain, PM support or PMO and should be able to understand technical aspects from IT projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to enable innovative Digital solutions to assure Airbus’ competitiveness and sustainability
  • Launches and drives projects towards Go-Live with objectives on-time, on-scope, on-cost, and on-quality to customer satisfaction and user acceptance

  • Implements a sustainable and agile project team all along the project phases
  • Ensures effective integrations of lessons learnt, active risk and opportunity management, effective contract management of partners and suppliers
  • Represents project across the organization and managing appropriate service-related communication towards the customers
  • Applies the appropriate project management methods, processes and tools, process requirements and risks, monitoring and controlling of project progress, setting up and managing schedule, cost and resources
  • Requirements:

    Skills

    • Bachelor degree in Information Systems Technology or Engineering. Master degree preferred.
    • 3 - 5 years proven experience in IT tool deployment projects
    • PMP certification from PMI is a plus / PRINCE2 certification is also applicable
    • Experience with Agile is a plus
    • English Business fluent level required
    • Ability to communicate in other European language(s) would be beneficial (French, Spanish, German)
    • Quick adapt in an evolving environment through multifunctional and international teams
    • Ability to easily communicate and interact with stakeholders (Chief Engineers, Project Managers, Work Package Managers etc.) - the role is transversal and assumes communication with various managers and teams, most communication needs to be handled remotely
    • Ability to apply the appropriate project management methods, processes and tools, process requirements and risks, monitoring and controlling of project progress, setting up and managing schedule, cost and resources
    • Ability to analyse project performance and to identify potential improvements
    • Ability to use methods and tools of Change Management
    • Ability to perform effective product /project control via the applicable review processes and the application of the Maturity Gate Process
    • Ability to define and document measurable product / programme / project success criteria
    • Ability to identify, assess and respond to risks and opportunities
    • Ability to gather and reuse previous experience from other similar products / projects
    • Technical Work Package Management / Supplier Management experience is a plus

    Specific knowledge

    • Knowledge on Software development processes and/or hardware, engineering, Agile way of working, Jira / Confluence
    • Scheduling / Unified Planning
    • Risk Management / ARM
    • Product baselines, project management plans and product / project performance throughout the whole product life cycle
    • Contracts management, understanding the contractual wording (terms and conditions) and effects to the programme / project
