Internship within Simulator UI Design (d/f/m)

  • Location: Manching
  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 3-6 months

Our department develops top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircrafts, supporting the entire development lifecycle.

We are seeking a student (d/f/m) for an internship in the context of control stations for our simulators. In addition to the overall simulation control & monitoring, these stations are used for instructing and debriefing complex military flight training sessions.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate with stakeholders and customers to gather and understand requirements.
  • Define UI/UX concepts for simulation control station software. Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces using a custom GUI framework based on Qt/QML.
  • Perform design reviews and ensure the user interface meets the defined concepts.
  • Participate in planning, stand-up, review and retrospective meetings according to software development methodology.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Enrolled full time Student within UI/UX design or relevant field.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and drive effective and appealing UI designs that enhance usability.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design concepts
  • Knowledge of GUI design and prototyping tools.
  • Good communication skills to efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and pragmatic mindset with strong willingness to learn.
  • Fluent level of English.
