As an intern you will learn about different quantum technologies (quantum computing, quantum sensing and quantum machine learning) and their potential contribution for future sustainable aircraft. You will be a member of the materials team of Airbus Central R&T and participate in technical research projects with our engineers, scientists, and customers.

The focus of the internship is the assessment of quantum technologies and their potential applications for future challenges in materials science and engineering, ranging from materials simulation over optimisation as well as testing up to qualification.

You offer:

  • Enrolled student (d/f/m) within material science, physics or similar field of study

  • Office applications (Google Workspace, MS Office or similar software)
  • Programming (e.g. Python)
  • Data Processing (Origin, Matlab or similar)
  • FEM tools beneficial (e.g. COMSOL)
  • German
  • English


You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
