In order to support the Product Data Management department, Airbus Helicopters is looking for an

Intern in Trade Compliance (d/f/m)

  • Location: Donauwörth
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Duration: 6 months

Your Location
At our Donauwörth site on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the flight-ready product. Experience first-hand how they take off and land at our own test airfield.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Analysis: Understand export control regulations and their practical application within business applications such as Titus, ACE, and other internal tools.
  • Data Mapping & Audit: Map existing codes in DEXTER / TREX to identify new requirements specific to the helicopter business and streamline the database by removing obsolete entries.
  • Synergy Management: Create links between codes for tangibles and intangibles to develop clear user guidelines for classification within our apps.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Track updates from authorities (e.g., BAFA/German authorities) and analyze business impacts, including complex legal concepts like "contamination" for goods and technology.
  • Technical Rating Support: Assist Technical Raters in legally justifying classifications and support the creation of regulatory arguments for formal correspondence with suppliers.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Enrolled student (d/f/m) in Law (Rechtswissenschaften), Business Law (Wirtschaftsrecht), or a related degree with a focus on International Trade or Compliance
  • A strong interest in working with complex regulatory frameworks and large data structures
  • Ability to translate complicated legal requirements into structured, user-friendly guidelines
  • A basic understanding of the aviation industry is beneficial to bridge the gap between hardware and legal texts
  • Negotiation level in both English and German (essential for interpreting local laws and using international software)
