Description of the job:

The Airframe Department at Airbus India is looking for an Intern to join the Design teams at Airbus India, Bangalore.

Job scope (Tasks & accountabilities):

Performing activities involving Design of metal and composite parts including tolerancing and conceptual designs for Commercial aircraft and Helicopters.

  • Develop and implement designs for aircraft manufacturing
  • Create prototypes, models and computerized images for design (2D & 3D CAD Data)
  • Analyze design and finished product for Tolerancing studies
  • Follow all set quality standards, processes, engineering principles and best practices
  • Establish timelines and work processes for finished product
  • Collaborate with other teams to determine if designs meet customer needs


Requirements:

  • Good engineering fundamentals including knowledge of structural design, mechanical design, material properties & some awareness of Aerospace Industry standards for aircraft Structures
  • Knowledge of GD&T & Good at engineering Drawing Reading & Creation.
  • Candidate should be a technically adept problem-solver, eager to use their mathematical and scientific abilities to build and solve Design Problems.
  • Awareness & Knowledge of CAD Tools (AutoCAD, CATIA, Unigraphics/NX) for Modeling would be an added advantage.
  • Good Communication & soft skills
  • Proactive, flexible & adaptive to changing project scenarios and requirements
