You will be part of a team developing flight test installations (FTI). As part of the Flight Test Installation Design & Builder Team, you will be involved in optronic and digital systems aiming at securing aircraft deliveries on time and quality.

Your working environment:

Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!

How we care for you:

  • Financial rewards: Attractive salary, agreements on success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan abounded by Airbus and employee stock purchase plan on a voluntary basis.
  • Work / Life Balance: Extra days-off for special occasions, holiday transfer option, a Staff council offering many social, cultural and sport activities and other services.
  • Wellbeing / Health: Complementary health insurance coverage (disability, invalidity, death). Depending on the site: health services center, concierge services, gym, carpooling application.
  • Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, expert career path, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.

At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.

Your challenges:

  • Collect and analyze requirements to specify, design, and deliver Flight Test Installation (FTI) and inherent systems (ground stations, hardware, digital systems).
  • Define, release, and integrate the architecture and sizing for the overall FTI installation respecting Quality, Time, Cost, and Performance.
  • Manage quotation, budget provision, planning, tendering, and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities including change management.
  • Control the configuration management of FTI systems and supervise overall logistics (investments, export control, stock).
  • Coordinate daily activities and provide 2nd level technical support to operation, maintenance actors, and Testers.

Your boarding pass:

As a Senior Technical Leader, you blend deep aeronautical mastery specifically in flight physics and control laws with a relentless drive for project excellence. Your strategic command of the V-cycle and high-fidelity simulation makes you a decisive authority within the Design Office.

  • Strong background in Engineering (Aeronautics, Electronics, Optronics or equivalent) with initial professional experience or internship in a similar technical environment.
  • Technical expertise in Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) architecture design and hardware/software integration.
  • Strong knowledge in optronic systems, digital systems, and simulation models.
  • Proficiency in configuration management, V&V processes, and project management tools (budget, planning, tendering).
  • Advanced level of English (working language) and negotiation level in French.
