Airbus is currently accepting expressions of interest from Instructors to attend a Recruitment Day in Toulouse on the 13th November 2024

Airbus Flight Training develops the future generation of Captains and airline leaders for safe and sustainable aviation. We accompany pilots throughout the full life cycle to train and maintain pilot competencies in their pilot career paths from ab initio flight training, Type Rating & ops training including, Captain upgrade, Recurrent Training & Checking including EBT and Instructor & Examiner courses.

Airbus learning concepts are centred on competences: competency-based training and assessment (CBTA), including 100KSA in our ab initio training phase, and is already fully deployed within our curriculum. Airbus Flight Training experts are continuously striving to improve our services portfolio, integrating the latest training concepts and technologies to better serve and train for safe and efficient operations.

We currently delivers pilot training in regions across the globe and are expanding the pool of Instructors with requirements for Flight Instructors (FI), Synthetic Flight Instructors (SFI) and Type Rating Instructors (TRI) with requirements in Angouleme, Beijing, Chile, Dubai, Delhi, Korea, Miami, Montreal, Singapore and Toulouse.

Airbus is actively recruiting experienced flight instructors for all flight training phases:

  • Ab Initio Theoretical Knowledge Instructor / Examiner

  • Ab Initio Flight Instructors

  • Synthetic Flight Instructors / Examiners

  • Type Rating Instructors / Examiner

During this event you will have the opportunity to meet some of the Airbus Instructors and gain an insight into the Instructor recruitment process, the function of the Airbus Instructors and the type of career development opportunities.

This recruitment day is more than discussing recruitment processes and career opportunities. The day will also include the opportunity to attend a presentation from Airbus Flight Training professionals, visit the Training Centre, try the A380 FFS and experience a guided tour of the A350 Final Assembly Line.

If you are interested in career opportunities with Airbus and wish to attend the Recruitment Day, you must meet the criteria for one of the following and register your application.

TRI / TRE

  • Hold a valid ATPL Licence

  • Hold a Valid TRI on A320+A330/A350 LIFUS

  • Hold a Valid Medical Class 1

  • Hold a minimum English Language Proficiency Rating of 4 Fluent in English

  • Hold a Low visibility Operations qualification (at least 1 Autoland on Airbus Fly By Wire (FBW) aircraft as Captain)

  • Hold or have held an ETOPS qualification

  • Flight hours experience required:

  • A minimum of 5 000 hours as Pilot

  • A minimum of 2 000 hours on Jet Large aircraft

  • A minimum of 2 500 hours as Captain on Airbus Aircraft

  • A minimum of 500 hours instructor experience in FFS on large aircraft,

  • A minimum of 500 hours experience as Captain assigned to conduct LIFUS/IOE.

  • A significant part of the obtained instructor experience have to be initial type rating oriented

  • Qualify (current) and experienced as Captain and TRI on A320 + A330 / A350

  • TRE experience is a plus

  • Significant Commercial Airline Experience

  • Evidence base training / Competencies Based Training Assessment expertise is required

  • Project management minded

  • Managerial experience is a plus

  • Experience in Flight Safety is a plus

SFI / SFE

  • Hold 3000 hours of total flight time as pilot with minimum 1500 flight hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA).

  • You hold or have held a CPL License and a frozen ATPL or a valid ATPL license (this is a plus).

  • You have or have held a type rating on Airbus aircraft is beneficial

  • A Synthetic Flight Instructor Authorization or experience as Instructor is an advantage

  • A negotiation level of English is required.

  • You are available for business trips worldwide.

FI

  • Hold Commercial Pilot License (CPL+IR), Flight Instructor (FI) with no restriction

  • FI-IR extension and/or ME, IRI and/or CRI qualifications is beneficial

  • Hold previous experience delivering training

  • Fluent in English & French
