Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Experienced Stress Engineer (f/m) to join our Aircraft Airframe Propulsion In-Service team based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the In-Service Propulsion Airframe engineering teams, developing structural repairs and engineering solutions for the Pylon, Engine Mounts & Nacelle components, across all Airbus Family products, to materialize our vision: “We keep the airlines flying at any time and all around the world”.

Your challenges:

  • Analyze damage reports and provide stress justifications of repair instructions enabling quick return to service of the aircraft (passengers may be waiting on board)
  • Prepare stress justification, or approve when you have signatory delegations, for the technical repair solutions in accordance with AIRBUS methods and principles and airworthiness requirements.
  • Support and approve technical solutions proposed by our extended team (subcontractors or other Airbus Engineering centres)
  • Coordinate with all interfaces on a daily basis (internal or external Customer representatives, other physical aircraft components, other functions as needed ..)
  • Analyze recurring cases and develop generic solutions to provide more autonomy to our internal/external customers
  • Contribute to team efficiency by proposing improvement and sustainable initiatives : digitalization, automation, innovation, repair by replace
  • Influence new aircraft design by sharing your knowledge of in-service operations

Your boarding pass:

  • Educated to a 5 years-degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical/Mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • You are curious, you demonstrate a customer-oriented mindset, able to perform in a high pressure environment and you are solution driven.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • You have good communication and leadership skills
  • You have more than 5 years experience in stress analysis (Justification in Static / Fatigue / Damage tolerance for certification, concessions, repairs)
  • You have knowledge in Airbus stress tools (analytical, ISAMI, FEM).
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and your experience will allow you to gain AIRBUS technical signature delegations in a short timeframe.
  • Pylon or Nacelle structures experience, as well as a past or present technical delegation (DOS) for a structural component, will be a plus.
  • French : advanced level
  • English : advanced level
