Accountabilities

  • Manage Delegated activities for Airbus Training Products Deployment and Support. the post Holder will be supported with adequate Technical Staff Training Products and manage the activities with support IM Team

  • NAA and EASA Post Holder for all Maintenance and Support Activities related to FSTD’s.

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate all training device maintenance functions and activities of the FSTD Technical Staff, National Aviation Authority (NAA) Initial, Recurrent, and special inspections.

  • Accountable for Delivery of Availability, MTBF and Reliability KPIs on flight training devices and other training equipment/facilities

  • Accountable for the compliance with ITARS and Export Control Laws within Domain

  • This Role has a Functional Reporting to the General Manager.

Airbus Training Center conducts training and support to Customer and Clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Accountable to manage all activities related to the Engineering Support for all Training Devices FTDS, Classrooms, E-Learning, VR, AR etc.

Main activities

Coordinate and manage department staffing levels with approval from the General Manager.

  • Prepare, submit and monitor annual budget for department

  • Liaison with Central Support Teams in Toulouse on all Activities within Domain

  • Coordinate training and supervision to assigned technical personnel; periodically follow up through monitoring FSTD personnel activities, Safety at Work, Equipment Safety.

  • Monitor spares, support equipment inventory management and control to ensure proper support of full-working Simulator(s) systems

  • Ensure, through assigned staff, that software and hardware modifications to FTDs are coordinated and that all documentation and approvals are completed.

  • Support the Head of Training (HOT) and General Manager according to the design/layout of Simulator configurations and Statement of Work (SOW) for new Flight Training Devices (FTDs).

  • Provide the General Manager and Central Team with recommendations concerning replacement of antiquated equipment and/or necessary upgrades, and modifications.

  • Develop and implement work methods and procedures for inspections, operations, calibration, maintenance and modification of FTDs and related equipment in accordance with applicable corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Business Management Systems (BMS).

  • Participate in the Quality Management System (QMS) activities at the assigned site and adhere to the processes related to accomplishing the site's QMS goals.

  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) activities including: supporting and promoting a proactive safety culture in the Training Center, reporting all aviation safety-related issues via the MMI ( Missing Malfunctioning , Inoperative ) system.

  • Work with Facility Manager and Site Manager to coordinate external and Facility support for Housing FSTDs

  • Manage the Delegated Activities scope and Deliverables for Training Products within the Region, with a drive to increase the activity and scope

  • Identify and track recurring and potential system problems and confer with technical experts and colleagues to formulate plans to solve problems

  • Travel, as required.
