An opportunity for a HO Flight Line Maintenance Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Salamanca (MATACÁN Air Base).

The selected candidate will join the MRO Network Team as part of the maintenance organization, leading LTA Maintenance activities for the C295 fleet. The team will oversee both line maintenance and base maintenance operations. The jobholder will reinforce our production capabilities in MATACÁN Air Base, taking full responsibility for managing, coordinating, and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events while ensuring compliance with Aircraft Maintenance (AM) Working Party procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • Manage, coordinate, and certify both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for C295 aircraft in Matacán in accordance with AM Working Party procedures.
  • Lead and supervise local maintenance teams, ensuring smooth production flow across line and base maintenance operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards for all maintenance deliverables and certifications.
  • Oversee daily line maintenance activities, resolving technical issues promptly to maintain operational fleet readiness.
  • Coordinate with planning, engineering, and support teams to prepare and execute scheduled base maintenance events effectively.

  • Education: Aeronautical / Industrial Engineering degree or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Almost 5 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance and MRO operations, including demonstrated leadership in a similar MRO position.
  • Soft skills: Strong team management and leadership skills, high decision-making capacity, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication abilities.
  • Languages: Advanced level in Spanish (both written & spoken). Fluency in English will be a plus.
  • Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, regulatory frameworks (AM procedures for Working Parties), and production control.
  • Travel availability: Occasional national travels (to other Airbus facilities or client sites) for training or team meetings.
  • Valuable / Nice to have: EASA Part-66 License (CAT C desirable) and hands-on experience with the C295 platform.
