Job Summary

We are seeking a **Head of UAV Structural Analysis** to lead and oversee all structural analysis activities in the development, design, and certification of our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms. This key role will ensure structural integrity and compliance with the most stringent airworthiness standards.

Job Responsibilities

* Direct and coordinate the team of structural analysis engineers for UAVs, providing technical leadership and personnel management.
* Establish and apply advanced methodologies and tools for static mainly (but also overseeing, dynamic, fatigue and damage tolerance) structural analysis of UAV components and assemblies.
* Oversee the execution of detailed finite element analysis (FEA) and other numerical simulations to evaluate structural performance.
* Ensure that all designs and analyses comply with applicable airworthiness certification requirements (military and/or civil) and ADS internal standards, process and methods.
* Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, testing, and aerodynamics teams to optimize the performance and manufacturability of UAV structures.
* Develop and maintain the long-term strategy for structural analysis capabilities in the field of UAVs.
* Manage the budget, resources, and deadlines for structural analysis projects.
* Present technical reports and analysis results to internal and external stakeholders, including certification authorities.
* To promote innovation and continuous improvement in structural analysis techniques, ways of working and tools.

Job Qualifications

* Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline, with specialization in structures or analysis.
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in structural analysis in the aerospace industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Proven experience in the structural analysis of UAVs or aircraft, including composite and metallic materials.
* Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as NASTRAN/PATRAN, Abaqus or
* Extensive knowledge of airworthiness certification requirements (both civil and military) and the ability to apply them to design and analysis processes.
* Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis, as well as dynamic and vibration analysis will be positively valued
* Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams, as well as to manage complex projects.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
* Knowledge of structural optimization and additive manufacturing techniques will be positively valued.
