Note : The position is for the newly formed joint venture company between Airbus & Air India. The joint venture company will be called Airbus India Training Centre (AITC)

Delivering on its commitment to ‘Skill India’, Airbus has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with the Tata-owned Air India to launch a world-class pilot training centre in Gurugram, Haryana. The JV Training Centre will offer A320 and A350 flight training to some 5,000 new pilots over 10 years and is due to be operational starting early 2025.

This joint venture, named as Airbus India training centre (AITC) will be a strategically critical project for both organizations, with an ambition to form a world leading Aviation Academy in South Asia that could positively impact operations and safety standards of both Airbus and Air India operators in the region.

Job Description:

To provide initial ground training, in aeronautical knowledge areas required for the issuance of a type rating or any other training as per the Airbus/Airbus affiliates Flight training manuals.

To provide recurrent ground training in aeronautical knowledge areas, as required for recurrent training of pilots and Ground Instructors

To provide ground training for SFI & TRI

To train Ground Instructors to conduct initial, recurrent or transition training in accordance with the FCTP as directed by the CGI/Head of Flight Training.

To assist in the development of various training programs

Checks the validation of training manuals and other course materials used in various flight training courses

To communicate issues of concern, or of exceptional achievement, regarding crew member trainees’ performance to the CGI/Head of Flight Training in a timely manner

To carry out any other task as directed by CGI/Head of Flight Training or his designate.

Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience as approved Ground Instructor

Approvals for Technical and Performance on Airbus A320 Family is mandatory and should be current

Shall be an engineering graduate or holding a graduate degree, with Physics and/ or Mathematics from a recognized Board/ University;

Or

Should have been a qualified pilot/flight navigator/flight engineer/flight dispatcher/ATCO, with minimum two (2) years of work experience in aviation;

Or

Should have been an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of three (03) years of work experience as an AME.
