A vacancy for a FTI Architecture & Equipment has arisen in Getafe within Airbus Defence & Space. The successful applicant will join Engineering Area in the Flight & Integration Test Centre.

Tasks & accountabilities

The mission of Flight Tests Instrumentation Architecture & Equipment is to provide Flight Test Means to gather data from the test object (on A/C) for further evaluation.

Our range of capabilities covers: special systems (on board installations), quick response (multidisciplinary knowledge and quick troubleshooting), technologies (sensors -including quality & metrology; data acquisition & distribution, recording, video, telemetry, time synchronization...) and also manufacturing (onboard racks manufacturing, equipment manufacturing and qualification, etc)

You will be part of a team responsible for the full life cycle of a Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) installation. From conception to deployment, going through equipment and system integration in the laboratory.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Laboratory activities: planning, stock control, logistics (reception and delivery of materials).

- Harness manufacturing for testing equipment, based in standard FTI documentation & procedures

- Racks harnesses manufacturing and routing, based in standard FTI documentation & procedures

- Basic tests to be performed in FTI equipment.

- Support to advanced tests as sensor calibrations or intensive ATP to complex equipment

- Procurement

- Investigations/analysis of problems; troubleshootings to know the root cause of a problem.

- Basic repairs of electronic devices

- Development and manufacturing of PCB

- Documentation of acceptance and verification tests of FTI equipment and FTI systems.

- Support internal initiatives for the use of AI for improving business applications and products oriented to FTI laboratory activities.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to medium degree level in the area of electronics and/or telecommunications.
  
• Demonstrated previous experiences in Testing Activities.
  
• Deep knowledge in testing laboratory equipment (scopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc)
  
• Knowledge in Flight Test devices, including sensors.
  
• Radio Frequency chain (transmitters, cabling and elements calibration and operation)
  
• WAN/LAN protocols stack (TCP/UDP, IP, PTP, SNMP, Ethernet, ...)
  
• Network Simulation & Analysis tools (Wireshark -dissectors-, IPerf, ...)
  
• Knowledge of the following documentation and tools are valuable: A/C installation documentation, NRD, A400M FTI Block Diagrams, Drawing Information Sheets and FTI Data Sheets, Sabre, Sabre Criev, STILo, N-Show, RODAS, EPD, TLB, FTI databases, FIDA, ICS, DOORS.
  
• Knowledge of Click & Buy tool and also Export Control process is desirable
  
• High ability to understand/find-out the behaviour of electronic devices and digital protocols.
  
• Team spirit to work as part of a multidisciplinary team (sometimes under pressure).
  
• Proactivity in problems finding and solutions proposals.
  
• Methodical, organized and assertive profile is expected.
