Job Description:

A new opportunity for a Senior Flight Test Ground Station .Net & Web Architect has opened within Airbus Defence & Space. You will join our Flight Test Ground Station Department-the team responsible for the essential hardware and software systems that power our flight test activities and the wider Test Centre IT infrastructure.

In this role, you will be a technical cornerstone, developing software applications and frameworks that ensure our flight tests are safe, accurate, and efficient. You will lead the transition toward modern, cloud-based architectures while ensuring our industrial tools remain robust and scalable.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Architect, you will lead the technical vision and delivery across several key areas:

  • Architectural Strategy: Design and evolve future software architectures, focusing on the migration of desktop solutions to on-premise cloud environments.
  • Framework Development: Build and maintain scalable development frameworks to support evolving equipment and testing requirements.
  • Full-Stack Development: Create multi-platform software and web-based applications, ensuring high performance across all environments.
  • Transnational Collaboration: Coordinate technical activities across international borders to generate new frameworks for Test Data Analysis.
  • Stakeholder Integration: Act as a key technical liaison between the Flight Test Means and Test Centre Integrators, Product Owners, and final customers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion the integration of CI/CD environments to streamline our delivery pipeline.

Your Profile

We are looking for a collaborative technical leader who thrives in a multinational environment. To be successful in this role, you will likely possess:

  • Architectural Expertise: Substantial professional experience as a Software Architect or in a similar senior-level technical role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in developing high-performance software using C++, Python, .Net, C#, or Java.
  • Modern Web Knowledge: Proven experience in web-based development and migrating legacy systems to cloud-based solutions.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus within a multicultural team.
  • Proactive Approach: A self-starting attitude with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges (equivalent to an "entrepreneurial" mindset within a corporate structure).
  • Language: Professional-level fluency in English.
