Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Flammability Substantiation Engineer (f/m) to join our STC*(Supplemental Type Certificate) Solutions Programme /

Customer Services based in Toulouse, France.

We deliver Cabin and Cabin Systems upgrade solutions (SB*, ICA* and kits) certified through Airbus STC, to airlines and lessors for the

modification of their in-service aircraft, through our dedicated: Team, Processes, Suppliers and Means (dedicated Kit Factory).

Integrated in the STC Solutions Programme Airworthiness and Technical Validation team, our Stress and Flammability Engineer is a bridge

between the Engineering Departments and the Certification Engineers in order to ensure the demonstration of compliance to the developed

design solutions.

Your challenges:

Integrated to Multi-Functional Teams addressing Cabin Systems upgrades projects on various programs (SA, LR, DD, WB, XWB), the Job

Holder is responsible for following missions:

• Authoring substantiation reports for cabin retrofit according to time, cost and quality requirements

• Check external flammability document (Vendors) and participate to alignment meeting if needed

• Managing, issuing and validating compliance reports (flammability,

environmental) according to time, cost and quality requirements, for ATA25 modifications, by proposing recovery plan, if needed.

• Managing flammability and environmental tests (for development or for certification)

•Organize all the tasks to get qualification and substantiation of SRS modifications on the

following project types:

- Airlines cabin upgrades (STC)

- Connectivity upgrades

- Customer support topics

• In accordance with SRS stakeholders , participate to the technical feasibility (choice of material, decoration, ...) in his domain, and provide technical expertise.

• Ensuring the safety of AIRBUS STC (supplemental type certification),

especially with respect to ATA25 chapter.

Additional activities:

•Ensure the role of referent for flammability substantiation and (progressively) become a specialist/CVE of ATA25 flammability issues.

• Participate to trainings to get/maintain this function

Required hard skills

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience.

• Educated in aeronautical or material Engineering,

• Experience in material flammability.

• Cabin aircraft general knowledge is a plus.

• Knowledge in General Regulation Requirements - CS25,

• Excellent practice of English, both written and spoken.

• Ability to organize, structure your daily work in the team and manage multiple tasks in parallel

• Develop and maintain a high level of collaborative work with the involved stakeholders,

• Synthesis ability,

• Communication skills.

This role may involve some occasional worldwide travels for business. (Not more 3 times a year)

Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons. (Not more 6 times a year)
