Finance Internal Control Specialist

Job Description:

Responsibilities - your mission:

A position of Internal Control Officer has just opened within Airbus in Lisbon. The successful applicant will join the Finance Internal Control department.

The jobholder is given the unique opportunity to contribute to the deployment and steering of the internal control system of the Function Finance, as a means to significantly increase overall performance. The close collaboration with the operations will be a key success factor.

The jobholder will report to the Group’s Internal Control department, as part of the Airbus Internal Control system.

Together with other team members, you will conduct Second Line Testing (2LT) in Finance to independently verify self-assessment responses with Finance organisation responsibles. The ICSA is a dedicated means for Finance entities to assess their Internal Controls conformance level.

Role description:

As the 2nd line of defence, you will be responsible for the following main activities:

• Supporting annual ICSA Core & AGBS campaign:
  
  • Have an overview about Internal Control and Compliance priorities in the entities of Airbus,
    
  • Ensure the consistency of questions within the ICSA questionnaire with Airbus Internal Financial Control Standards,
    
  • Provide support and guidance for the process owners community by preparing, conducting and following-up on awareness sessions (incl. update of documentations, FAQs, internal training sessions, etc)
    
• Driving the deployment of the Internal Control within the function, contributing to the identification of the key risks and identification of the related 1st level key controls, based on the End to End approach
  
• Promoting internal Control values within the Function to increase the level of awareness in the Operations
  
• Contributing to the group Internal Control yearly campaigns including:
  
  • Testing the effectiveness of the design of the 1st line key control(s) and assessing it,
    
  • Performing the specific 2nd level testings according to the Internal Control Group methodology,
    
  • Issuing recommendations if the assessment is below the expected level and validates the associated action plan,
    
  • Alerting the IC central team and the Head of Business Area in case of any major gap / deviation detected during the 2nd level testing,
    
  • Reporting on the results to the IC central team and the Head of Business Area,
    
  • Recording results and evidence in the IC tool,
    
  • Support finalization of the definition and set-up of the Internal Control system

An IC officer shall be independent of the operations executing the 1st line Key Controls.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:

• Master degree level in Finance/Management or related discipline or graduated from a Business School (or equivalent). 1 to 2 years’ experience maximum in internal audit in an international company or audit firm.
  
• Analytical thinking with ability to synthetize.
  
• Rigorous, recognized for your organizational skills and your attention to the details.
  
• Good communication skills, customer oriented and able to work in an international environment.
  
• Leadership ability in a result-oriented and collaborative environment
  
• Team Player.
  
• Data analytics and IT skills would be an advantage
  
• Negotiation level in English.
