Job title : FHS IS Engineer
AIRBUS Flight Hour Services (FHS) is a transnational team Headquartered in Toulouse France, with a strong international footprint. Airbus FHS provides customized services to its Customers (mainly Airlines) ranging from FHS-Component PBH services, up to a Tailored Support Program (TSP) / Fleet Technical Management (FTM) services, with the objective to provide airlines the improvement of their maintenance and engineering activities to allow an increased aircraft reliability and availability, whilst supporting significant inventory management and repair cost savings. Such packages include fleet technical management, component maintenance, spare management, airframe maintenance and engineering services that are delivered by cooperating with a partner, suppliers such as OEMs, MROs or other service providers, subsidiaries or between several Operating Units.
Based in Bengaluru, the Airbus Fleet Technical Management Central Team (FTM-CT) is the central hub providing world-class aircraft/component reliability to our customers. In collaboration with global Airline Engineering teams, we deliver premium FHS Component Reliability, TSP/FTM services, FTM Standalone (without a linked FHS-Component PBH service) and FTM Advisory services. Our mission is to maximize aircraft availability for our customers while ensuring strict adherence to EASA, NAA, and Airbus technical standards-balancing operational excellence with financial efficiency.
Accountabilities
You will join the Airbus FHS organization Product Service Line (PSL) supporting the CAMO Services & Support. The mission of the PSL is to deliver innovative IT solutions that support digital transformation and efficient operations for customer services.
The PSL is dedicated to support Customer Services activities related to
- CAMO (Performance and Maintenance) & Component Support of in-service fleet
- Increase of service revenues of FHS
Dimensions
You will work through matrixed influence, driving robust governance and business-critical performance indicators across all FHS/FTM domains without the requirement of direct people management.
You will have a strong collaboration with the Support Team, the MIS provider and the product team members. As the customer base is worldwide with Airbus Teams located in the respective countries, you may be required to travel for a short term.
Main activities
As the FHS IS Engineer, you will be required to perform the following activities:
- Providing functional and technical support for FHS business applications, resolving end users queries and technical issues, troubleshooting software problems, diagnosing software faults and escalating software issues (bugs/process) to the resolver group.
- Administrating system master data, performing data upload, monitoring interfaces between FHS IS and external systems.
- Maintaining up-to-date User Guides, FAQ, Knowledge Management databases
- Analyze data integrity and consistency, monitoring data issues and running daily reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
- Perform troubleshooting, find the root cause, and any necessary corrective actions to resolve them permanently.
- Collaborate with IT team and application owner to improve business process and systems, represent the business
- Provide technical support in system configuration and fixing customized reports
- Conduct application training for the users as and when needed to eliminate user error (e.g. Customer Order Desk, Repair, Warehouse)
- Responsible for preparation, creation, and test execution for any testing phase of the project
- Manage FTM IT Assets and AOP monitoring
- To handle ad hoc task assigned by manager from time to time
- Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct
- Be recognized as a functional expert for the MIS process
- Robust milestones deliverables (functional specifications)
Job Requirement
- Graduate in an area such as Information Technology, Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance (AME Diploma) related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in CAMO/Aviation Business Analyst
- Specific experience in Airline supply chain modules like Procurement, Inventory management, Material planning and Stores/Logistics will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge on at least one Aviation MIS (AMOS, SAP, AMASIS.)
- Project Management Basic Knowledge.
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Knowledge of Regulatory requirements, EASA Part M & Part CAMO activities including Quality Management System, Safety Management System, EASA Part 145 and Maintenance operations and Basic Airworthiness principles,
- Experience in Maintenance Information System use (AMOS & AMASIS preferred),
- Strong knowledge of performance and quality processes,
- Knowledge of subcontractors management, including performance management,
- Clear ability to align and influence audiences,
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills,
- Superior organisational skills, flexibility to manage multiple priorities, adaptability to changing & challenging deadlines with attention to detail,
- Actively takes ownership, initiative and responsibility,
- Adaptability to different cultural environments, proven diplomacy skills,
Organisation structure
The Jobholder, as a member of the FTM Central team, operationally reports to the Head of FTM Central and functionally to FHS (SMRX) in Malaysia and Europe.
