FCAS - Shaping the future European Air Power

FCAS has the potential to become a future key pillar to secure the sovereignty of Europe, strategically, technologically, and industrially! With Spain joining the Franco-German cooperation, the programme took an important step towards its Europeanization. As FCAS is much more than “just” a new Fighter, but an integrated & combined system-of-system including existing and future platforms and tools, the programme will integrate a wide range of the Airbus DS portfolio and competencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To define requirements for integartion of Armament in Future Combat Air Systems, at system, subsystem, or equipment level.
  • To define Armament Control and Carriage Systems Design Requirements
  • To perform Impact analysis for the integration of new Armament in a combat platform.
  • Preparation and assessment of the technical documentation for the integration of armament.
  • Generation of weapons to Aircraft Interface Control Document.
  • Preparation and assessment of Safety documentation. Generation of Preliminary Hazard Analysis
  • To identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements.
  • Support Low Observability activities related to weapons/Stores integration.
  • To define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.


SKILLS

  • Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline
  • Experience in Aircraft Systems Integration.
  • Experience in Armament carriage equipments integration will be a plus.
  • Languages: Advanced level in English.
  • Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a networking mode.
