Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Export Control Specialist for Customer Services (H/F) to join our Engineering & Maintenance Team based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of the highly transversal department responsible for Compliance & Safety in Maintenance at Airbus Customer Services. Your challenges :
1. Classification Management :
- Classification Authority: Be/Become the referee supporting business in Determining and validating Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) for hardware, software, and intangible business objects or Technical Assistance.
- Engineering Liaison: Collaborate with Product Leaders and Engineering to ensure technology control requirements (marking, processes) are integrated from design to delivery.
- Supplier Governance: In case of identified gaps, review and challenge supplier-provided ECCNs to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
- Traceability: Maintain rigorous documentation and audit trails for all classifications using corporate methods and digital tools.
2. End Users & License Management :
- Strategic Assessment: Lead business teams in identifying and expressing the need for export licenses early in the project lifecycle.
- End-User Verification: Manage the end-user review process and coordinate closely within the screening process and with the Legal Department for license applications.
- Lifecycle Monitoring: Secure the validity of active licenses and manage user-level access rights to controlled technology.
- Monitoring: Oversight of the implementation of restrictions (such as embargoes) across the Customer Services perimeter.
3. Audits & continuous improvement :
- Act as a business focal point for process & tool adaptations
- Represent Customer Services compliance team for classification and licensing in case of internal or external audit dedicated to the Export Control and address potential findings
- Ensure the transmission and the capitalization of knowledge within the team
Your boarding pass :
Educational Qualifications :
- Qualified Engineer with technical background and a minimum of 3 years experience
- Proficiency in English (C1). Knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is a significant advantage.
Technical knowledge and competences :
- Proven experience with EU, French, and/or US (EAR/ITAR) export control regulations
- General knowledge of Airbus products, services and organisations
- Basic knowledge of Suppliers, Airlines operations and MRO environment
- Basic knowledge of Project Management techniques
- Basic knowledge of data analytics and digitalization
- Good presentation skills, both oral and written
