Responsibilities:
In this role, you will ensure that Airbus’s procurement activities strictly adhere to national and international export control laws.
Beyond day-to-day compliance, you will act as a strategic driver for digital transformation, leading key aspects of the Hold & Release project, executing user testing, and managing critical stakeholder relationships across transnational borders.
Project Management & Digital Transformation (Hold & Release)
Project Support: Drive and support the implementation, rollout, and continuous tool evolution of the Hold & Release project within Procurement.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Define test scenarios, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UATs) for new export control systems and digital tools to ensure operational readiness and alignment with business needs.
Stakeholder Visibility & Communication: Act as the primary bridge for the Hold & Release project; proactively provide regular status updates, ensure high organizational visibility, and manage change effectively across all affected stakeholders.
Regulatory Intelligence & Compliance Advice
Regulatory Tracking: Interpret evolutions in national and international export control laws and regulations (including US ITAR, EAR, and European regimes) and support their implementation within the Procurement scope.
Advisory & Support: Provide hands-on support and operational guidance to procurement teams. Assist buyers in embedding Airbus export control methods into their daily sourcing and supplier management activities, and offer direct tool support to ensure seamless compliance during the purchasing cycle.
Training & Awareness: Design and deliver comprehensive training sessions and compliance surveys to concerned business functions to foster a robust compliance culture.
Operational Control & Process Excellence
Process Definition: Support the update and enforce end-to-end export control processes to optimize supply chain security and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the export control function, aligning with Airbus Directives, global methods, and modern digital tools.
Classification & Documentation: Monitor and update the list of products, documentation, equipment, components, and parts subject to export restrictions. Support the collection of Export Control documentation to guarantee timely clearance.
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:
- Master’s Degree in business or law with business experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Export Control Compliance or Procurement activities including exchanges with supply chain would be highly appreciated
- Knowledge of Export Control Laws and Regulations (Dual-Use / Military) expertise would be a plus
- Experience in Project Management and Change Management would be highly appreciated
- Behavioral skills: autonomous, ability to manage discussion with/challenge from different stakeholders (internal and external), ability to handle diverse topics simultaneously
- Knowledge of aerospace products and systems would be a plus
- English: advanced level
