Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage Airbus Defence and Space Export Compliance at Bremen site.
  • Ensure an end-to-end export control process allowing permanent tracking of project export issues at any step of the product development and preventing any deficiency related to export that would cause delays, additional costs or sanctions and fines.
  • Ensure compliance with all export control related national and international laws and regulations; business, product and market knowledge and related regulatory and political export limitations.
  • In cooperation with Logistics and Customs, prepare export control documentation in order to get timely clearance for export. Monitor and update list of products, documenation, equipment, components and/or parts subject to export restrictions.
  • Process national export licence requests for hardware, software and transfer of technology.
  • Check, coordinate, monitor and ensure US re-export regulations EAR and ITAR and related requirements and obligations.
  • Prepare the Sanctioned Country Process and execute the Secure Hiring Process.
  • Improve and optimize all export compliance related processes and tools; issue internal directives for export compliant processes (e.g. Procurement, IT, Foreign Nationals).
  • Provide export compliance advice and support to employees, projects and business functions throughout the company.
  • Provide generic and dedicated export compliance trainings and awareness sessions.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • You are educated to a degree level in Law, Business Law, Export, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Ideally you already have relevant knowledge and experience in the field of Export Control.
  • It is an advantage if you have attended dedicated training courses in the field of Export Control.
  • You have already gained experience in the international program business.
  • You take initiative and are committed to work.
  • You work in a detailed and precise manner.
  • You are curious and willing to learn new things.
  • You have good communication and organizational skills.
  • You are used to working with MS Office, Google Workspace and SAP.
  • You are fluent in German and English
