There is a possibility for an

Eurofighter Flight Control Software Specialist (d/f/m)

at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join the department “Flight Control Software”. This team is developing safety critical software, covering manned and unmanned air vehicles in several programmes like Eurofighter and Eurodrone. The successful applicant will support the new development of a Safety Critical Computing Platform for the Eurofighter LTE programme.

Your tasks will be:

  • Being part of an agile team, that designs, implements and tests safety critical real time software
  • Being technically responsible in the EF LTE project for the development of the Flight Control Software hosted on a newly developed computer
  • technically leading a team of Software Engineers
  • Support to set up new processes like Model Based Development and ensuring process assurance
  • Analysis of stakeholder needs and/or upper-level requirements and specification of actionable requirements
  • Planning of software increments
  • Taking design decisions and propose improvements
  • Being responsible for verification and validation of the technical design (Safety Critical Software)
  • Presentation of relevant certification documents and development processes during audits by authorities
  • Preparation of technical documents, instructions, and specifications for the implementation of the solution required by the standards to obtain certification and flight clearance.


What we are looking for:

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • At least 8 years of work experience in relevant fields
  • Passionate Software Developer and Teamplayer
  • Experience in Hardware/Software Interface Definition
  • Experience with programming standards and Model-based System Design (data flow and state machine diagrams)
  • Experience with SCADE and Automated Code Generation and Requirements Engineering
  • Hands on experience with safety critical Standards (ED-12C/DO-178C, ED-218/DO-331, ED-80/DO-254)
  • Hands on experience with ARINC 653 based HRTOS and IMA (ED-124/DO-297)


Skills:

  • Very good knowledge in C and Ada
  • Very good knowledge in Embedded Systems Software Development and/or low level Platform Software
  • Very good knowledge of Processors and Processor architectures for Safety Critical Computing
  • Fluent in English and German
