Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Drive System Design IT Tools Responsible to join our Engineering departement based in Marignane, France.

You will join Transmission Design & Dynamic Systems Architecture department, which is in charge of the whole Airbus Helicopters fleet. Your missions will be operational.

Your future missions :

As the IT Tools Responsible for the department, your mission is to maintain and propel the software ecosystem used for the design and calculation of our transmission systems. You will be in charge of:

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Building the long-term vision for design tools, balancing the maintenance of legacy systems and the development of innovative solutions.
  • Fullstack Development: Managing the complete lifecycle of internal applications (Architecture, Python backend, Javascript/HTML/CSS frontend).
  • Legacy Management: Maintaining and optimizing historical calculation tools coded in VBA .
  • Operational Support: Interfacing with ETIT "Métiers" (gears, bearings, lubrication, stress analysis) to translate their physical laws and complex constraints into robust digital tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensuring tools are compliant with AH technical processes and certifications standards.

Your Profile :

  • Educated to 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a strong IT specialization.
  • Technical Mastery (Mandatory): High proficiency in Python and Javascript .
  • Software Skills: Solid experience in managing complete web applications (Frontend & Backend). Ability to maintain/debug VBA code.
  • Language Skills: Advanced level in English and negotiation level in French.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of C++ and basic notions in Mechanical Engineering (kinematics, strength of materials) to better understand the design office’s needs.
  • Soft Skills: Adaptability, autonomy, and a synthesis spirit to build a coherent tool strategy.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
