An opportunity for a Environmental Officer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Albacete.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

The Environmental Manager is responsible for compliance with environmental compliance obligations, monitor and improve the environmental performance of Airbus and achieve environmental objectives.
The Environmental Manager will develop, maintain and / or improve the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001: 2015. Identify the environmental aspects / impacts of technologies, products, services and activities with a life cycle perspective, will manage the risks and opportunities examining environmental and social trends, and improving environmental performance through technologies environmental and ecodesign. Their normal activities will also include participating in the definition and / or deployment of the environmental policy of Airbus (Airbus Environmental Policy), ensure environmental awareness, support during internal / external audits, manage the documentation and committing / communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
EMS Responsabilities:
• Implement, monitor and continually improve the Airbus Environmental Management system and check compliance with the ISO 14001 standard of each site.
• Comply with EMS central and national procedures. For national and local procedures to support the definition of them.
• Ensure that environmental actions are performed in accordance with agreed procedures and tools.
• Define local communication tasks and provide visibility. Share best practice and ensure message alignment with Corporate Environmental Communications.
• Measure and support improving of environmental performance. Awareness campaign to employees.
• Define and promote environmental objectives in agreement with all involved sectors of the site, and follow up on their implementation to improve the environmental performance of the site, in line with corporate and relevant local objectives.
• Support environmental objectives (plant level, national level, central level).
• Support Environmental Local Roadmap stablished in the sites.
• Risk and opportunities identification and management including identification of the contextual relevant environmental information and communicating it to the corresponding stakeholders at site or national representative level.
• Identify internal and external stakeholders.
• Parts of interest management. Ensure that relevant needs & expectations form interested parties are taken into account in particular those from local authorities.
• Ensure a permanent tracking and management of any hazardous substances used in the site related to environmental risks.
• Ensure the availability of accurate consolidated environmental data and information to contribute to Airbus environmental communication and reporting obligations.
• Management Sites reviews.
• Management of environmental Incidents and Accidents.
• Support to audits to ISO 14001 and environmental regulatory requirements audits.
Regulatory requirements:
• Ensure appropriate actions are in place to continuously work towards environmental compliance and to evaluate this compliance.
• Identify, evaluate and compliance assessment (environmental regulations, European, national and local).
• Environmental licenses and authorizations management, to secure Airbus licenses to operate.
• Ensure that an appropriate environmental support is available for the various business areas operating within the Site, in particular in clarifying the applicable requirements and rules to be respected on the Site.
