We are looking for an Engineering Change Manager (d/f/m) located in Hamburg with a possible start date asap. In this position you will be a member of the Cabin Business Performance Management Team .

In our cabin retrofit department the focus lies on retrofit projects aiming on providing our customers with a modified, safe and reliable cabin in accordance with their requests. Each project is unique and can range from a small color change to a complete cabin renewal.

As an Engineering Change Manager you will make an important contribution to the success of each cabin retrofit project, by ensuring the on-time and on-quality availability of all engineering deliverables needed for the Modification Proposal [MP] Dossiers, by ensuring the highest quality standards of our MP-Dossiers and by sharing your expertise with all colleagues within and beyond the Cabin department.

You will work in a transnational organization and as a member of our Cabin Business Performance Management Team you will have interfaces to Customer Service, Engineering, Program and other departments.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your main tasks and responsibilities

  • Gathering all necessary inputs for the preparation and execution of implementation activities at the MP level.
  • Collecting all required inputs for the Modification [MOD] Closure phase at the MOD/CIN level.
  • Initiating the MP-Dossier validation and coordinating the process with all relevant parties according to the project plan.
  • Monitoring and driving the delivery of the MP-Dossier against target dates, including drumbeating the involved contributors and managing the validation loop with all stakeholders.
  • Performing quality checks on the MP-Dossier during the validation process for both the design start and MOD closure phases (involving multiple checks).
  • Sharing your expertise with all colleagues within and beyond the Cabin department to enhance the quality of the MP-Dossier throughout the validation loop.
  • Contributing as a key process actor and actively participating to process, method & tool improvement initiatives.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Engineer Aeronautical/ Mechanical degree or equivalent
  • Aircraft configuration management
  • Proven experience with engineering and configuration manager tools e.g. ICC-CADB/ACP, ACC2, SAP/SUPREM, SAP/SAMM DACAS, in Airbus Legacy tools like Moda, Taksy.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience would be a plus
