An opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Manager has arisen within Airbus Operations, Illescas (Toledo).
The selected candidate will join the TFS & Energy Spain Team within the Facility Management Real Estate (FMRE) organization. FMRE has evolved into a strategic partner that ensures business continuity through safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions. The team is focused on reinforcing our industrial sites in Illescas and Getafe to lead the transition towards a low-carbon footprint. You will bridge technical energy management with high-level sustainability roadmaps, ensuring full operational support for production rates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- Implement the FMRE sustainability roadmap at the site level, focusing on decarbonization, energy reduction, and resource efficiency.
- Lead the Energy Management System (ISO 50001), ensuring compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement for the assigned plants.
- Manage "turnkey" efficiency projects (CAPEX/OPEX), from technical assessment and financial planning to final execution.
- Oversee the energy billing process, supply contracts, and assigned budgets to ensure cost-optimization.
- Drive digitalization by using tools (e.g., BMS, eSight) for real-time data analysis and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders (Production, FALs) to balance operational needs with energy-saving targets and sustainability governance.

- Education: Engineering degree (Master level preferred - EQF7 / MECES 3).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Energy Management and Sustainability within industrial environments.
- Technical knowledge: Proven expertise in ISO 50001 standards , energy markets, and digital tools for energy monitoring.
- Soft skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach toward customer satisfaction and innovation.
- Languages: Advanced level of English and Spanish is required (C1).
- Valuable: Availability to travel occasionally to other Airbus sites in Spain and flexibility to support broader FMRE functions when business needs require.
