A vacancy for a Electronic/Hardware Engineer for Flight Test embedded equipments (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Flight and Integration Test Centre, especially the Enhanced Systems team composed of electronic, systems and software engineers.

Your mission:

As a technical project leader, your mission will be to manage technical activities linked to Flight Test core components, and more precisely to computing platforms (from small-scale IoT boards to large-scale powerful cluster computing) which are used in our test aircraft to process and display data coming from a large range of sources (such as sensors or aircraft systems).

You will be accountable of the following tasks:

  • Perform technical project management tasks such as reporting, documentation writing, quality follow-up
  • Lead the development of new computing platforms: collect new needs and specify technical requirements, launch purchase orders, drive development with suppliers, qualification, functional tests, integration and deployment on test aircraft
  • Lead maintenance (control of equipment) and operational support activities in close collaboration with operational teams
  • Manage obsolescence to anticipate operational issues.
  • You will work in a multi-skilled group of people, working on both hardware and software development and support, interacting with a lot of stakeholders such as technical specialists, project managers, support functions leaders, operational teams,...


This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

  • Educated in Electronic analog and digital with strong knowledge in software, knowledge in Linux Operating Systems, network and (3 years)
  • Experience hardware tests, hardware qualification
  • Experience in project management
  • Curiosity, Team player, Rigor, and ability to innovate
  • Advanced level of English and French.
