Electrical & Lighting System Design Office Engineer (+Simulation Skills)
Job Description
Job Description:
Currently, there is a strong trend in new military and civil aircraft towards more electric or fully electric aircraft concept designs.
The all-electric airplane concept presents a series of advantages or improvements compared to conventional airplanes, as efficiency, weight, volume, environmental impact, etc.
In these aircraft, the traditional generation systems give way to new architectures of high-power generators, which allow them to operate in starter / generator mode, and even replace the current combustion engines with distributed electric propulsión systems.
Inside Electrics and Lights department we work in Electric and Lights systems development including following activities:
Task & accountabilities:
Being part of Electrical and Lights team with the main mission assigned:
- To u nderstand the Electrical and Lights Top Level A/C requirements, and to define the corresponding systems requirements linked to Top Level requirements.
- To define traceability between Top Level A/C requirement and Electrical and Lights Systems requirement
- To define Electrical and Lights system based in customer/certification requirement.
- To define electrical and lights diagrams or system defined.
- To perform detailed analysis or power necessities according with Electrical architecture defined.
- To analyce electrical regulation compliance.
- To generate certiication system evidencies.
- To generate customer evidencies systems .
Electric & Electronic Development Engineering: Ability to provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements. To identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary To develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements. To define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.
In parallel to basic Electrics and Lights system definition, in our department we are very involved in MBSE definition.
Model-based System engineering (MBSE) is the formalized application of modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities beginning in the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development and later life cycle phases.
In the continuous improvment process promoted by AIRBUS company, the use of models allows an increase in quality, productivity and risk reduction in systems definition.
MBSE provides a means to coordinate system design activity, satisfies skateholder requirement and provides a significant return of investment.
