A new opportunity has arisen as E2E Quality Line Side for FAL MRTT TANKER production lines at Getafe Plant. The successful applicant will join the operational quality MRTT Team.
Quality is at the heart of every production process. As E2E Quality Line Side you will integrate into a team of dedicated, collaborative and energetic professionals devoted to ensuring it through the supervision and continuous improvement of shop floor processes. You will have the opportunity to grow your career by engaging with many different stakeholders inside and outside Airbus, from local officers to final customer representatives.

A.Accountabilities

The Quality Operational Manager for AG1 is accountable from the start of management area one until the delivery to management area two of:

• The Quality Assurance of the MRTT Conversion works assigned to management area one, through the correct definition and execution of the Quality Inspections as per defined standards, managing and approving the Non Conformities and Concessions, and fostering continuous improvement deploying Quality Tools in the productive process (Operational Surveillance, PPS, Quality Excellence, SQCDP...).

B.Dimensions

Workload: Structural works of conversion to MRTT (Tanker) of 5-7 aircrafts per year, equivalent to approximatelly 176.000 hours of production workload. Inspection workload: approximatelly 28.800 hours per year. People: Leading a team of 16 subcontracted inspectors. Geographical scope: Conversion activities take place in Getafe Airbus Military Facilities in Madrid.

C.Main activities

Quality production:

Product Inspection: program and execute according to applicable standards and documentation. Coordinate own resources and assure appropriate availability and deployment of subcontracted resources.

Assurance Quality of data in A/C records: Job Cards, dents & buckle report, CoC...

Configuration control: compile and certify status of aircraft Configuration control: compile and certify status of aircraft for milestones as releasing the aircraft of stress-free condition.

Quality Gates between phases: assure correct exectution and represent Q for its own deliverables.

Production and Quality subcontracting control: skills, certifications, adherence to quality plan.

To adapt quality inspection model to different regulatory frames.

Managing of Resources

Participation in Call for Tender process. IOS for subcontracting.

Leading a team of 16 subcontracted inspectors.

Improvement tools

Practical Problem Solving.

QFLOOPs.

Quality SQCDP.

Process Confirming.

Shopfloor training.

Operational Surveillance: execution of defined supervisions.

KPIs

Quality delegation: definition of requirements and deployment.

Mapping quality activities to improve quality performance.

To participate and implement quality innovation initiatives.

Interface with customers: for operational product related issues during conversion.

D.Outputs

Aircraft works of management area one fully completed, in accordance with the required specifications, configuration and quality standards and within the program required plan, ready to enter the following phase in management area two. All configuration differences between design requirements and physical status resolved. Continuous reduction of Non Quality Costs. Attest AC condition to ensure that all the works to be performed during Stress-Free condition are accomplished before lowering the aircraft.
